«To hear with eyes…» (2018) is a silent procession of twenty emergency lights carried in the underground of Palais de Tokyo. These symbols of police power are subverted into objets evoking a “terrorist” threat. This is the reactivation of the performance Augenmusik realised in the streets of Paris in 2016 in the context of the State of Emergency and the social mouvement Nuit Debout: the day of the summer solstice, at 9 p.m. 24 walkers carrying emergency lights (playing The Art of Fugue of Johann Sebastian Bach) crossed Paris from the orbital highway to the center and joined at the “belly of Paris”, Les Halles.
