Katya Ev Anton (he/ she / they)
Katya Ev Anton (he/she/they) is a non-binary, white artist of mixed origins, born in Moscow, USSR. They live and work in Brussels, Belgium. Their practice explores the complex relationship between society, economy, and the body, aiming to uncover our potential for agency within power structures. By subverting objects of state power, tools of everyday capitalism (laws, contracts), rituals perceived as banal, Ev constructs a performative language that spans from actionist-like performances in public spaces, to infiltrated interventions in museums and art institutions, 'constructed situations'.
